Whether you are pro Fixie or anti, you cant deny that biking is fun and cheap transportation, especially in the Minneapolis area [other cities too]. And with all of your friends biking, taking a car or skateboard just wont cut it. Biking is growing so fast that stores that have nothing to do with bikes are trying to jump on the train. The other day I saw a bike and a moped at Best Buy and now Urban Outfitters has opened an online bike shop. New Biking Low!
On their website you can customize your bike with different colors for different parts. Not a bad idea but Urban Outfitters isnt getting my bike money.Biking Highs!
The dudes down at The Alt are doing it right. Family bike shop and now some of the guys who work at the shop are starting their own company, Handsome Cycles.
I also came across this Portland based custom bike maker. Hufnagel Cycles.
Both are much better alternatives to an Urban Outfitters bike.
